ANTISEMITISM
Antisemitism is the hatred or discrimination towards the Jews or Jewish people. Germany had been blamed for WWI and was forced to pay $33 billion in reparations. This anger the Germans as well as caused hyper inflation on the country. Money became so worthless Germans used it as firewood. When Adolf Hitler came around, German was in a state of Great Depression. Most people had no jobs and unemployment rates were extremely high. Hitler joined a group known as the Nazis and quickly became the leader. The Nazis blamed the war on the Jews which caused the antisemitism. Hitler also devised a plan known as the "hunger plan" which involved the conquering of several countries for use of farmland. Hitler believed that the Germans didn't have enough "living space" and wanted to improve agriculture. This involved starving millions of people, many of them Jews. When the people booted from their homes didn't die quick enough, the Germans began herding the Jews into Concentration camps so they would be worked to death. This is all because the Nazis believed the Jews caused WWI.
